Saraswati Mahila Mahavidyalaya is located on the outskirts of Palwal City on National Highway-2,between the national capital Delhi and the historical city – Agra. SMM was established in september 1984 with a mission to serve the women community by giving them quality education. The Foundation stone of this temple of teaching-learning was laid down on 02-09-1984 by Sh.L.R.Gupta Senior Advocate of Supreme Court and the first academic session started in 1988-89 and was inaugurated by Honorable Sh.B.D.Gupta the then Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana.

            This College is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University,Rohtak Haryana and recognized by Director of Higher Education , Chandigarh and University Grants Commission u/sec.2(f) of UGC Act 1956.  Spread over 3.5 acres, the college offers Science/Commerce/Arts and Computer application and Computer Science streams.

            Ours is the pioneer College in providing women education at higher level in this city. College has grown over the 19 years(1988-2007) period with a dream to reach the heights of excellence in higher  education.

            Saraswati Mahila Mahavidyalaya is being run by a progressive society namely “Saraswati Education Society (Regd.)”(SES). SES is committed to provide an excellent platform for women’s education, contributing remarkably in the field of education, having high dreams to make the women community of Palwal city 100% literate. SES aims at 3D’s i.e. Determination, Dedication and Devotion.

Saraswati Mahila Mahavidyalaya has the bountiful blessings of Goddess Saraswati, who has led this institution from glory to greater glory with each successive year. Not only in academics but also in sports and extra mural activities, this institution has achieved the awesome height of success, under the everlasting guidance, supervison and management of its  committed managing committee.
