These words by George Washington Carver perfectly describe our aim at Saraswati Mahila
Mahavidyalya. Beyond providing a sound education, we wish to provide our students a holistic
learning experience for life. Our aim is to teach students to LEARN, not just STUDY. Hence,
we strive to travel beyond the boundaries of mere books. We have realized that the future is
abstract and unknown but the youth in our hands are real and can be moulded.
We, being academicians, have a life long commitment to this invaluable engagement of
acquiring knowledge and should devote all our talents and energies to this worthy pursuit.
We should be sources of mutual inspiration in this dynamic process of self-realization and
self-actualization and should pledge to pursue it to the farthest end.
We invest our trust on students. They are our safe source and we bank all our efforts on
them. We create not the future instead we craft them for the future. It is our fervent hope
that the years that they spend in S.M.M. would enable them to equip with leadership and
managerial skills. We want them to taste the fruit of success once and for the rest of their
lives.
And lastly, I feel confident that the college is progressing in the right direction to build
an academic institution of great social impact.
